Description
The TRIQBRIQ system utilizes micro-modular timber building blocks, called BRIQs, which are precisely manufactured from cost-effective, low-grade and damaged timber, as well as reclaimed wood. These are slotted together on the construction site and locked with wooden dowels to erect load-bearing walls quickly and cost-effectively. A key advantage is that the BRIQs can be sorted by type after use and fully reused, offering a sustainable alternative to conventional building materials.
Problem solving
Due to the absence of adhesive joints and the circular design, BRIQs can be reused after a building is deconstructed. Furthermore, significant amounts of CO2 are stored in a TRIQBRIQ shell structure (125–200 kg CO2 per square meter of wall surface, depending on the system). The use of lower-grade wood contributes to material efficiency. The quick and easy installation of BRIQs also saves time and money.
